Nice neighbors...Stop it right now!

So in a suburb of Chicago there's this neighborhood. In the neighborhood, all the families know each other. One of the mothers doesn't have to be to work in the morning. So she said to all the other mothers "Hey all the kids (about 6 in all) stand in front of my house to wait for the bus. I know you guys all have to be to work. I'll make sure everyone gets on the bus." That was pretty nice of her. Well the county found out, and sent her a letter telling her that she couldn't do that anymore. That by watching her neighbors kids for about an hour she was running a day care and she didn't have a license.

These families live very close to one another and are always babysitting each others' kids. Just trying to help on another out.

How insane is that? I mean come on. Has it really come to the point that when a neighbor is helping out a neighbor, that you need a license to do that? Stuff like this drives me nuts.
